Amazon Leaks Lil Wayne's Rebirth

http://www.gottabemobile.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/amazonlogo.jpg

This type of situation is to be expected when you change release dates more than your shoes.

The good folks at Amazon.com leaked Lil Wayne's latest album on Monday when they accidentally shipped out 500 copies of Rebirth, an album that has a February 1st release date.

According to Billboard, about a million copies of Wayne's latest record were pressed and a third of them were shipped out to retailers. Once the release date changed, the stores were ordered to ship the albums back to Universal, but not before 500 copies took flight from the Amazon warehouses to a home near you.

Check your local torrent sites if you can't wait til February.

I guess Wayne will have to switch the name of Rebirth to Afterbirth. Sorry for that one.

After watching "The Carter" documentary I deleted all of my Wayne music. I always knew Weezy was a delusional egotistical martian, but that film was the final nail in the coffin for my tolerance of his fuckery.

After several weeks of a Weezy-free lifestyle, my day to day experiences improved ten-fold, until I saw this track. Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in.

The sad thing about all of this is that this tune isn't bad at all, and Wayne and Em prove to be a potent lyrical combination. Wayne's chorus is surprisingly catchy and very, ahem, "rock and roll".

I suppose it's nice to see Wayne get what he's always wanted: a legitimate rock track and a collabo with Eminem. Hopefully Slim's lyrical massacre will teach Wayne some humility.

Oh Eminem, when will you stop murdering people on their own shit?

Obligatory Young Money post.

Here's their new single, if you're into that sort of thing.

Blerg. Obligatory traffic booster.

Bonus:

Here's a version of "Money 2 Blow" sans Birdman, who bores you to death with his lame slow flow.

I really have to go on a Drake/Wayne blog post detox and hit you guys up with some underground shit real soon.

I'm sorry Kai.

Drake - Fear

Meh.

Drake - Fear

In other Aubrey news, he had surgery yesterday in Toronto after shooting videos for both "Forever" and "Money 2 Blow" down in Miami while simultaneously appearing in a GQ photo shoot with Wale and CuDi.

Damn, I guess he really does know G4 pilots on a first name basis.

The "Money 2 Blow" shoot.

Birdman featuring Drake & Lil Wayne - Money To Blow

FIRE FIRE FIRE FIRE!!!

This is an old Drake song that I always loved and it's been improved with some new verses and a boosted bass line.

So that means I don't really give a fuck that Birdman yoinked this for himself as long as he doesn't start making out with Drake.

You can accuse me of Drake overkill if you want.

Drake Speaks about Being Back in Toronto

Drake says he's finally made peace with Toronto. I think he means peace with Toronto as a superstar, and not as a citizen, but peace nonetheless.

As someone who just moved to Toronto after a four year absence, making peace with the greatest city on earth is a very good thing to do.

Nothing like your hometown.

This is old, but it looks like TimBuck2 got his hands on the soundboard for Drake's show in Chicago.

PHOTOS: Drake feat. Trey Songz & Lil Wayne - Successful

I was taking the streetcar home the other night and I saw this whole video thing going down on Yonge Street. It should be known that I did not take these pictures however.

Hopefully "Successful" will be better than "Best I Ever Had".

Drake Makes an Appearance w/ Wayne in Toronto

I live in Toronto and I had the opportunity to go to this show, but once I heard that Drake had broke himself I remembered that Soulja Boy was also on the bill, and the prospect of seeing him and a legion of his fans was too much for me. I'm soft.

From what I heard, Drake's appearance was the highlight of the night.

Its the Real vs. Drake's Knee

This shit is hilarious, especially the Ross part at the end, and I promise, this will be my last post covering the epic event that has been Drake's knee.

Drake Speaks on his Friday Night Fall

It looks like Drake is headed back up to his/my hometown of Toronto for some much needed recovery. Good luck. Surgery and recovery on a joint injury is a bitch and my elbow still cracks and aches when it rains out. Lousy skateboarding.

Here's the video of the unfortunate incident and look below for the statement.

Drake's Statement from October's Very Own:

Angels and Demons

This bottle of Opus One is low but my spirits are high my friends. I am about 2 hours away from Toronto, CA where I will be spending the next chunk of time recovering from a surgery that I now must have. I embarked on this tour with a torn ACL, MCL, and LCL and due to the events that happened the other night lord only knows what other damage I have done. On the bright side I will begin the reflecting and soul searching that its going to take to make this album and my outfit on the night I fell was crack. I will forever push myself beyond the limits despite advice and recommendations given because even with this new found success I am still the kid who wanted this more than anything in the world. Its funny when I read comments from previous fans who have lost interest because of the radio play and exposure I have. I just want to assure anyone reading that nothing has changed on my end. I refuse to get comfortable, I refuse to fall in line and follow anyone elses formulas. I still work as if So Far Gone had never dropped and I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to gain entry to this game.

“Missing someone gets easier everyday. Because, even though it is one day further from the last time you saw each other, it is one day closer to the next time you will”

See you soon.

Drake Falls Onstage, Re-Injures Knee

Drake proved to the entire world last night that his knee injury is no joke, as the Toronto rapper slipped and fell onstage and re-injured his already torn ACL. Now he's off to surgery.

I feel bad for the dude, but his doctor ordered rest could result in weeks of studio time and lots of new music.

At SarcasticDBag.com, we try and see the bright side of any situation.

Drake Live at S.O.B.'s

This is from Drake's performance at S.O.B.'s way back, but it's interesting to see how his recorded materials transfers to the stage.
